Emarsys August 2024 Product Release: Connected & Insightful for Intelligent, Omnichannel Innovations
In our quest to help marketers foster connection with customers and empower them with insights to create true omnichannel experiences, we’re pleased to offer innovations that facilitate better personalization with built-in intelligence and make work easier.
All Segment Types in Interactions
The rollout of all Segment Types to Interactions marks a significant enhancement to our already robust set of segmenting features. This feature allows marketers to apply any segment type (e.g. email or mobile behavior) for audience filtering within the Segment, Exclude, or Filter Switch nodes of Interactions automation programs (i.e. those based on events or triggers versus scheduled sends). This capability enriches existing use cases and opens new opportunities for even more precise audience targeting.
Link Tracking for WhatsApp (Early Adopter)
In our continued refinement of Conversational Channels, we’ve added Link Tracking for WhatsApp. This feature automatically shortens URLs and enables marketers to easily track link performance in this steadily-growing channel. It also lays the foundation to effectively measure attribution and ROI, which will be available in future updates. This feature is currently available to our early adopters.

AI-assisted Subject Line and Preheader Generator
We’re excited about the AI-assisted Subject Line Generator and the newly introduced AI-assisted Preheader Generator. These advanced features have been in pilot and are set to roll out across accounts in the coming weeks. Drawing from the best in generative AI, these tools facilitate the creation of compelling subject lines and engaging preheaders based on campaign content and any user instructions, streamlining the process of crafting effective email marketing elements and freeing up marketers to spend their time on more strategic and creative endeavors.
AI-assisted Product Finder (Pilot)
The AI-assisted Product Finder, still open for pilot, simplifies the process of locating and inserting relevant products from your catalog into marketing campaigns. This tool enhances efficiency by reducing manual effort and ensuring the accurate display of product information, significantly reducing the time it takes to build campaigns. Rather than manually having to find and link to products in campaigns, this interactive tool allows for intuitive search via keyword and even natural language user prompts to return the most relevant products.
Expanded Analytics Enhancements: Mobile In-app Channel Data
Expanding analytics enhancements, the platform now includes Mobile In-app Channel data in Audience Reporting and Campaign Analytics. That means that within Audience Reporting, you can view and compare how different audiences engage with Mobile In-app messages using the new channel filter on the Engagement widget. Simply click the metrics that interest you and check the table to see the best-performing campaigns. Additionally, in Campaign Analytics, you can simultaneously view and compare Mobile In-app campaign results across other channels and drill in to explore Mobile In-app performance on a campaign level. This information will help marketers get a clearer picture of how their mobile campaigns are performing relative to other marketing efforts, allowing for better analysis of ROI so you can focus your energy on what’s working.
We’re also delighted to announce the general availability of the Unified Dashboard. Previously in beta and now generally available, the Unified Dashboard provides a centralized view of key metrics, including revenue, contacts, and engagement levels. This feature supports global or business unit-specific overviews, offering a comprehensive view of marketing performance.

Emarsys August 2024 Product Release: Adaptive & Trusted: Extensible, Scalable Platform Updates
In our ongoing effort to continually make our platform more adaptive for and trusted by our customers, here are features which help marketers extend, scale, and expand our functionality across industries and use cases.
Annex Cloud Integration
Annex Cloud helps marketers create lasting customer connections with a leading global and enterprise loyalty solution. The Annex Cloud Integration now includes embedded Loyalty Tactics within Emarsys, allowing for the execution of personalized loyalty experiences based on Annex Cloud data. Marketers can efficiently deploy programs such as welcoming new members or encouraging action to reach loyalty milestones, with ease.
Travel & Hospitality Tactics
Tailored specifically for the travel and hospitality industry, these pre-built programs support common use cases with a focus on audience engagement and personalization. Examples include the ability to create promotional or seasonal offers and deliver destination guide campaigns, including comprehensive information about locations, enhancing the traveler’s experience. These robust features can help accelerate business outcomes and time to launch for users in the travel and hospitality industry.
Account Engagement Enhancement
The Account Engagement solution now includes a process for identifying contacts in Emarsys that no longer meet filter criteria for marketing purposes from SAP Sales Cloud. This update provides hourly reports of contacts that have fallen outside current filters, facilitating data maintenance between the two systems and helping marketers ensure accuracy and relevance of their account targeting and contacts engagements.
Enterprise-grade and Cloud-scale Updates
In our ongoing efforts to provide a suite of solutions for businesses of all sizes, we’ve updated some key features that support enterprise-grade organizations.
Custom Field Distribution
The new Custom Field Distribution tool enables bulk selection and distribution of custom data fields across accounts, enhancing operational efficiency in data management and segmentation. Featuring an easy-to-use editor marketers can select the target fields and easily distribute them across business units. This can increase operational efficiency for setup of multiple business units and customer data collection to power segmentation, personalization, and more.
Batch Sales Data Onboarding
Improvements to the Batch Sales Data onboarding process now include a more a streamlined, self-serve experience. Users can configure sales data loads and map fields independently, with a user-friendly interface to monitor load history. It’s as easy as setting up your FTP account, configuring your files and mapping fields for fast, easy upload of large amounts of sales data. Manage upload history easily and even monitor of what’s been uploaded as well as any issues for troubleshooting.
Asset Tagging (Pilot)
The Asset Tagging tool announced in June is continuing in pilot. It allows for the categorization and organization of your assets, such as automation programs, based on various criteria you can customize like region, brand, ready status, etc. This feature aims to improve asset management and efficiency.
