When marketers lack context, customers feel it. A promotion arrives after a purchase. A recommendation includes outdated inventory. A follow-up message ignores what’s happening elsewhere in the business.
These disconnected experiences erode trust and create missed opportunities for growth.
Brands today need more than campaign automation. They need the ability to connect customer and business signals, activate the full business context, and turn every interaction into an opportunity to drive revenue, loyalty, and operational efficiency.
That’s the vision behind Autonomous Marketing & Engagement. By connecting enterprise data, operational processes, and trusted AI, SAP helps marketers transform every signal into personalized engagement across every message and channel while keeping people in control and AI executing at scale.
In the Q3 2026 SAP Engagement Cloud release, we’re delivering innovations across AI and analytics, channels and content, and data and integrations that help organizations create more relevant customer experiences while staying aligned with business outcomes. Read on for the latest innovations.
AI & Analytics: Create, personalize, and measure with greater intelligence
Marketers are under constant pressure to deliver more personalized experiences while demonstrating business impact more quickly. New AI and analytics enhancements help teams move from manual effort to intelligent execution.
AI-assisted Content Composer (Generally Available)
Create and adapt images and text directly within your block-based email. You can enhance existing brand visuals, add or remove backgrounds, create scenes, and generate tailored copy grounded in the context of the audience segment, products, and related campaigns to achieve better results. This means you can modify or generate the content of an existing campaign in seconds. Everything is previewable and editable right inside the VCE email editor, so there’s no need to jump between tools or start from scratch.
Recommendation Center (Generally Available)
With the Recommendation Center, marketers can configure and deploy tailored 1:1 recommendations from an intuitive, unified hub. Fine-tune recommendation logic and strategies with dynamic product filters and reusable personalization rules, so every recommendation matches the business goal. For example, a retailer can send a special holiday promotion with recommended products available in a certain region (e.g., Italy) that are on sale, while still maintaining a set margin threshold. Once set up, you can test and validate your strategy before use, then insert it easily into your campaign.
Report Visualization for the AI-assisted Report Builder (Generally Available)
Turn any single-dimension report into a clean bar or line chart with one click. For instance, you can ask: “What are the Open Rate and Click Rate for my campaign categories in the past month?” and instantly visualize the results for your upcoming leadership meeting to discuss campaign performance. Charts display up to 20 items for readability.
Web Channel in Campaign Analytics (Generally Available)
Jump straight from the Web Channel app into pre-filtered campaign-level reports with Campaign Analytics to see how they are performing. Metrics include impressions, clicks, and click rates. Or you can go directly to Campaign Analytics, select Web Channel from the dropdown, specify your filters, and dive into performance metrics. The result is a more connected view of engagement performance and faster access to actionable insights.
Content & Channels: Deliver more natural customer experiences
Customer engagement works best when interactions feel effortless and personalized.
“We want to build the community with the loyalty system, but not only money-wise. It's about money-can't-buy things. We want to establish a real connection, real loyalty. The basis for that is one-to-one communication. I'm completely convinced about that. You have to know the fans as well as possible, as intensely as possible, to establish this connection and to earn this loyalty.”
Fuzzy Keyword Matching in Conversational Messaging (Generally Available)
Customer responses can now be understood even when keywords contain spelling errors or natural language variations. For example, if your flow expects the response “TRACK,” entries like “Track please!” or a typo like “Trakc” will now correctly advance the contact down the right path.
You can enable this functionality simply with a single checkbox on the Wait for Response node. This helps marketers create more flexible, human-friendly conversational experiences that reduce friction and keep customers moving through engagement journeys.
WhatsApp Business User ID Support (Generally Available)
Stay prepared for WhatsApp’s upcoming privacy update, which will let users hide their phone numbers behind a username. A new dedicated BSUID contact field lets you identify these users seamlessly. For example, when a customer subscribes to your WhatsApp updates using only their username, you can still recognize and message them without disrupting existing workflows.
B2C Lifecycle Management (Early Adopter Care in Enterprise Edition)
This template-based lifecycle modeling helps marketers categorize and target audiences based on purchase behavior and lifecycle stage. With more structured audience management and reporting, teams can deliver more meaningful engagement to customers when it matters most.
In practice, you can use a template to automatically group contacts into loyalty categories, such as “Silver”, “Gold,” and “Platinum.” Then, you can use those groups as segments in an automation program to send special offers to your highest spenders. In addition, you can track your lifecycle segments and related campaign performance in Audience Reporting.
Date & Integrations: Activate your campaigns with full business context
Great engagement starts with knowing what’s happening across the business, then being able to take action in the moment with that full context.
Sales & Service Cloud V2 Integration (Early Adopter Care in Enterprise Edition)
This new integration enables the transfer of B2B accounts, contacts, employees, and relationships, as well as B2C Individual Customers from SAP Sales and Service Cloud V2 into SAP Engagement Cloud. Sync updates to Sales and Service Cloud V2 fields to SAP Engagement Cloud in near real time to power personalized marketing engagement that is in lockstep with sales.
The integration also enables automated Lead Handover between SAP Engagement Cloud and Sales & Service Cloud V2. For example, track which of your customers have interacted with a specific Web Channel campaign and see your leads updated in Sales & Service Cloud v2. Contact your CSM to apply for our Early Adopter Care program to bridge marketing and sales engagements that drive greater pipeline and faster deal wins.
Product Catalog API (Generally Available)
Ensure your campaigns use the latest, most accurate product inventory by enabling streaming catalog updates. You can upload only what’s new or has changed, pause or delete items on demand, and bring in any number of locales and custom fields at scale.
In addition, your team can monitor performance through the new Product Catalog Data dashboard. For example, your dynamically priced product always shows the most up-to-date price at the time of sending.
Category Trees as part of the Shopify Plugin (Generally Available in Emarsys Edition)
Build a menu structure in Shopify, link it to product collections, and the hierarchy is imported and mapped automatically. As a use case, you can structure your catalog as Apparel > Men > Jackets in Shopify and use that same hierarchy for product affinity reporting and Predict recommendations in SAP Engagement Cloud, unlocking richer category-level insights.
Assign Accounts and Contacts to Multiple Business Areas (Generally Available in Enterprise Edition)
Business Areas give organizations precise control over user access to customer data, content, and campaigns within a single account — enabling flexible segmentation, automation, and reporting aligned to brands, regions, or other organizational structures. This new enhancement enables accounts or contacts to be assigned to multiple Business Areas, so shared customers no longer need to be duplicated across teams or regions. For example, a customer of Brand A, Brand B, and Brand X can now be associated with all three corresponding Business Areas, enabling a single, unified customer profile that can be targeted, engaged, and reported on as a whole or independently by each brand within their authorized scope.
